A Mighty Cracking House

Monday, October 20th, 2008

An artistic photo taken by my editor, Greg Barton, of some provoking art on the walls of a building in Sydney known by locals as The Crack House. It smells like pee in there, but well-worth checking out for the walls and walls of creative spirit and random banter. Some other examples below snapped on site taken by my trusty (and still just as cool) gen one.

Sydney-based Andy Uprock as an exhibition on tonight (Fri 21st of March) at The Oxford Art Factory in Sydney. His work has been seen in many city stroller’s peripherals, however stopping to take a good look is really worth it.

GRIEF // Erwin Olaf

Friday, February 8th, 2008

There is something quite captivating about this series from Dutch photographer, Erwin Olaf. Interesting that he has communicated the subject ‘grief’ from a rather feminist angle.  picture-12.pngpicture-14.pngpicture-13.pngpicture-10.png

Things that make you go hmmm….There is a hint of artist Numskull in here. Provocative work from the night time street kids of Sydney’s inner West.
